… cult hippy child, teen mum, soaked in violence to young, been there done that kinda styles, complex trauma survivor = ex drug dabbler = lucky to not be an addict acknowledger, word maker-up-er-a, long term activist, visionary, entrepreneur, a system disrupter.
I’m an off the track adventure seeker, a fungi fanatic, lover of books, I cry during films, and I deeply appreciate the power of anger – it’s the change maker. An intersectional feminist and a pleasure activist. A no shit taker.
I’m a sexologist, stained glass artist, hoarding disorder specialist, takatāpui- queer, neurodivergent, Māori x pakiha, I’m a complex human just like you are.
My career all started with 18 year old me – on the streets of Nimbin running the local youth club, on street beat, syringe collection, heroin peeps with blue lips, weed drug trade flourishing, watching the hustle, sometimes part of the hustle.
Running education programs around domestic violence prevention and safe sex practices. On the Nimbin community drug action team and the Nimbin domestic violence liaison committee. That was the old days. All before I was 20.
After leaving school and home at 13 – I had my street smarts, but I wanted more smarts – as an adult I went back to formal education and got me a youth work certificate. As a valued lived experience youth worker I supported those in housing and homelessness, complex trauma, mental health, youth detention centres, violence prevention programs…. And then working with adults in all the same complexities – because unresolved, the shit of children lives sticks. Hurt people hurt people. And around and around it goes.
Then took my ‘can’t spell for shit’ arse to uni and got me a degree in Social Sciences Majoring in Counselling.
I wrote healthy relationship programs that I delivered in schools to classrooms full of kids like me: that don’t wanna be there, that are dealing with big shit to often, that live like they ain’t got nothing to lose.
My programs were woven with healthy communication skills, themes on safe sex, consent, equality and pleasure education. Over time I started delivering these across different education spaces such a festivals, night clubs, dinner parties, and forums.
Years working as a family and youth counsellor – among others I had a reliable client load of queers, young gender questioning and trans youth.
And behind the scenes collecting up an impressive extra study portfolio on a broad range of topics such as: sex, sexuality, and relationships, somatic sexological body work, violence prevention, complex trauma, narrative therapy, mental health, indigenous knowledge bases…… to name just a few.
So that’s me – raw and vulnerable and full of stories, learnings and experiences – a reflection of the oneness of all of us. There are more stories of course. Different stories that highlight different paths and lives. Stories of healing and love and heart break, and motherhood, and many dreams achieved – each one needs its own story in its own time, and explorations – learning about my body after long periods of protective disconnect, combating numbness, finding stillness to listen to my body, finding my voice to express my needs, and learning about my capacity for earth shattering orgasms.
The collective stories above are the stories that lead me here to you as the sexologist that I am.
I’m here all the wiser, life is getting more luscious and juicy as I explore and embrace deep pleasures earth has on offer, still enthusiastic in my learning and experiencing, I’ve slowed down and connected with my body & my breath, the rush rejected. I’ve got my formal knowledge base – boxes ticked, mixed with deep life learning and on the job experiences.
All of me – accumulates into my service and offerings. Along the way I’ve created, foraged and gathered a plethora of skills to inspire and awaken, to provoke and to prod, to support learning and unlearning. I’m on offer to walk with you to reach your pleasure potential, to enrich your connections, I’m your deep dive supporter as you explore the richness of what life’s got to offer and to support your understanding of the systems of pleasure oppression, to support the exploration and reframing of your deep seeded blockages.
